What is Forrest Yoga?

Forrest Yoga is an evolving style created by Ana Forrest over 40 years ago and continually co-developed by Ana and her partner Jose Calarco.

Forrest Yoga works with basic moves that help to unravel the challenges of daily life and help students to heal from both physical and emotional injuries. The practice is guided by the four pillars of Forrest Yoga: Integrity, Breath, Strength, and Spirit.

In Forrest Yoga classes you can expect core work, breathwork, long-held poses, and a focus on feeling. Every class is unique and sequenced in connection with a class intention. Forrest Yoga can be adapted for people of all levels and is a wonderful practice for connecting with ourselves on a deeper level.

What is Deep Flow Yoga?

Deep Flow Yoga is my signature style of yoga which is a combination of Forrest Yoga, vinyasa, mobility and dance moves. This class is a bridge between Forrest Yoga and other styles of yoga.

I call it Deep Flow because the poses are still held longer than in a typical vinyasa class, and many Forrest Yoga principles are applied in sequences that would not typically be found in Forrest Yoga.

Expect to experience many of your favorite parts of both vinyasa and Forrest Yoga in a Deep Flow class. Like Forrest Yoga, Deep Flow Yoga can be adapted for people of all levels. Class always ends with a deep and restful savasana.
